Our Weekend Adventure
Last week it felt like we needed some quality family time and a little adventure, so when Friday came along we packed our bags and headed to Chattanooga for a little mini family vacation. The weather was gorgeous and we had the best time exploring new places and hitting up some Chattanooga classics like Rock City and the aquarium. But for me, the weekend felt like it was most about simply enjoying each other; being removed from distraction and routine and taking time to fully delight in our precious kids together.
Our delicious breakfast discovery Milk and Honey…we loved it so much we ate there twice!Sleepy girl at breakfast. This picture kills me…when did my baby girl get so big and so beautiful?
At our hotel, the Chattanooga Choo Choo. The trains were a big hit even though G looks less than impressed in the picture.
Taking in the aquarium.Â
In the aquarium’s butterfly room
After a full day at the aquarium, the kids first-ever movie theater experience (in imax and 3D…it was intense!), and much needed afternoon naps, we enjoyed a yummy Italian dinner in the Bluff Art District.
On Sunday we went to Rock City! The kids loved climbing around, exploring the caves, and ignoring the “Stay on the path” signs.Â
Dadda carrying two tired but happy kids to the car was the ending to our day and a super fun weekend. My heart is full!
These are great pictures, Becka! Very good shots of the kids.
